What's Up With the Jeep Wrangler? The 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL is part of the fourth generation that was introduced in 2018. This SUV has Jeep’s classic look, along with excellent off-road capabilities. It replaces the Wrangler and the Wrangler JK. You can choose a two- or four-door model with a soft or hard top. The interior comes in all black or black and tan, and you can look forward to a Jeep Wrangler pickup soon. Keep reading for some more information about what’s up with the Jeep Wrangler lately and all the trim levels available.

The Sport

The base Sport model has 17-inch, black steel wheels, a soft top, a 5-inch touch screen with Bluetooth, tow hooks, and skid plates. It comes with a six-speed manual transmission and a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. A 2-liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged engine with 270 horsepower is also available, and a diesel V-6 is coming soon. However, many people choose the optional eight-speed automatic transmission instead.

Only cloth seats are available, but a one-year subscription for SiriusXM Satellite Radio is optional. You can also choose a three-piece hard top. Safety features include a rearview camera, Electronic Roll Migration, Electronic Stability Control, and Hill Start Assist.

The Sport S

This slightly more luxurious model comes with 17-inch, silver aluminum wheels, power windows, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. You can also add a nine-speaker Alpine premium audio system, a 7-inch touchscreen, and remote start.

The Sahara

The Sahara model comes with 18-inch wheels, polished wheels that have gray spokes. It also has side steps, a heavy-duty suspension with gas shocks, a standard 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch instrument cluster display, a 115-volt power outlet, and dual-zone climate control. The cloth seats come with the Sahara logo, and a leather-wrapped shift knob is optional. You can upgrade to an 8.4-inch touch screen as well.

The Rubicon

The Rubicon is similar to the Sahara, but it also has a Rock-Trac four-wheel drive system and off-road rock rails. It has 17-inch, polished wheels with black pockets, a performance suspension, and optional leather seats as well. The Sahara only comes with four doors, but the Rubicon is available with two or four. Both types of four-door models have folding rear seats for extra cargo space.

The Wrangler Pickup

The new Wrangler pickup, also called the Wrangler JT, the Scrambler, or the Gladiator, has a longer frame than the JL to make room for a bed and four doors. It comes with a three-piece hard top in black or the same color as the body, or a soft top. All three tops are removable, so you can enjoy a convertible pickup truck with Jeep’s rugged, angular look.
