In 2018, these brands continue their run of form with new updates, additions, and other changes to their lineup. Get geared up for 2018 with these minor and major revisions to the Chrysler, Dodge, and Ram fleet.

The End of the Chrysler 200

Manufactured since 2011, the Chrysler 200’s run only lasted seven years. This isn’t to say it wasn’t a great vehicle. However, Americans have started to lean toward the crossover and compact market more than midsize and full-size sedans. This is what spelled the end for the Chrysler 200. With the final one rolling off the assembly line, Chrysler only offers two vehicles, but it may open up doors for newer options that appeal to a broader spectrum of buyers.

Dodge Challenger SRT Demon

If you thought the new-age muscle of the Dodge Challenger couldn’t get any better, think again. This year ushers in the debut of the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. A brute under the hood, the Demon packs up to 840 horsepower courtesy of a 6.2-liter, supercharged V-8 engine. With this much power at its disposal, it can reach 0-60 in a sizzling 2.3 seconds, 0-100 in 5.7 seconds, and hit a quarter mile in under 10 seconds. That’s the kind of speed that dragsters envy.

Don’t plan on bringing anyone along for the ride. The Demon is a single-seater, and you’ll have plenty to focus on and enjoy all by your lonesome. If you want to feel the g-forces that are tantamount to a ride in a fighter jet, act quickly. Dodge only plans to release 3,000 of these bad boys.

The All-New 2019 Ram 1500

Ram has long been one of America’s favorite trucks, but it’s recently lagged behind some of its competitors on updates. Not anymore. The all-new 2019 Ram 1500 hit showrooms in spring of 2018, and Ram’s top-selling pickup has never looked better. The fifth generation of this iconic vehicle offers plenty to get excited about, including an updated exterior, an available semi-hybrid powertrain, and loads of tech and convenience amenities. The 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 remains, but it’s perhaps the sole remnant of the fourth generation.

If you’re looking for a Ram that outclasses the rest of the truck competition, opt for the Limited trim. The interior of this truck has been likened to a luxury vehicle, boasting nine USB ports, leather, woodgrain and aluminum accents, and a 12-inch touch screen to power its Uconnect infotainment system. Add up the ferocity of the engine, the stunning good looks, and the interior specs, and Ram looks to have a winning formula in the 2019 Ram 1500.

Whether you’re a Chrysler, Dodge, or Ram fan, you’ll find the 2018 lineup much to your liking. Choosing a new vehicle is an exciting venture, but with these nameplates, you might find the choice a bit more difficult than you had anticipated.
