4 Reasons You Should Get Behind the Wheel of the Chrysler 300The Chrysler 300 is one of the best midsize cars on the market in terms of style, luxury, power, and safety. The base Touring model starts at $28,995, and the premium 300C starts at $40,995. These are some of the vehicle’s best features and reasons why it’s so much fun to drive.

A Gorgeous Exterior

The Chrysler 300 is stylish. It has a wider and larger frame than many sedans on the road and features a flashy design that accentuates its power. This is a luxury sedan, though, so the 300 leans more toward a classy exterior than a sporty one.

It rides low to the ground, and if you’re customizing one from scratch, you can pick from nine exterior colors. You also have a choice of nine wheel designs and four-wheel sizes: 17, 18, 19, or 20 inches. The Chrysler 300 has a unique, small grille, so the headlights feature more predominantly on the front of the vehicle. Drivers who want an even more stylish exterior can upgrade to the 300S or 300C, which add touches like sculpted sill moldings and a platinum chrome finish.

A Luxurious Interior

Drivers have numerous options for customizing the interior, starting with a choice of 10 standard seating material and color combinations. This includes options for linen, cloth, and Nappa leather seats. You can also upgrade to one of two types of black Nappa leather, black and caramel Nappa leather, or black and smoke Nappa leather premium seats. The 300 also has these luxurious interior features:

  • Standard heated and ventilated front seats on the 300C
  • Standard steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters on the 300S
  • A sleek driver information digital cluster display on all models

Power

The luxury aspects of this vehicle aren’t confined to the design and materials used in its construction. The 300 delivers a classy experience in terms of drivability and performance, too. Drivers have two engine options in the 300: A 3.6-liter V-6 and a 5.7-liter V-8. All vehicles have a rear-wheel-drive configuration.

The V-6 is ideal for drivers who want to give up a little bit of power in exchange for fuel efficiency. This engine, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, gets up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway. The V-8 is better if horsepower is your priority. This available engine, also paired with an eight-speed automatic, gets 363 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque. This gives the 300 the most power in its class.

Safety Features

Numerous active and passive safety features are available as options and standard upgrades across the 300’s various trims. Features include:

  • Adaptive High-Intensity Discharge Headlamps with Automatic Leveling
  • Automatic High-Beam Headlamps
  • ParkSense Front and Rear Park Assist
  • Rear Cross Path Detection
  • Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning With Active Braking
  • LaneSense Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist
  • Adaptive Cruise Control With Stop
  • Blind Spot Monitoring
