2022 Jeep Gladiator
Since they began selling civilian models in 1945, Jeep has come to signify tough and capable off-road vehicles that can get you through the most hazardous of driving conditions. Early models of this historic American vehicle were known for their bare-bone structure; the original military Jeep was designed so that, if necessary, four men would be able to lift and move it. The 2020 Jeep Gladiator is a stylish, comfortable, and rugged update on a classic that doesn't compromise when it comes to performance, either on the road, or in wild terrain.
Trim Levels
The 2022 Jeep Gladiator is available in four different trim levels. These include: the stripped down Sport, the Sport S, the Overland, and the very robust and feature-rich Rubicon. Each trim level affords a choice of 10 different colors and their own dedicated wheel styles, along with enough options and features to allow every buyer really make the Gladiator their own customized vehicle. Jeep touts the Gladiator as the only "open air pick-up on the market". Removable roof and rear window panels, available in hard and soft tops, allow driver and passengers to feel the wind on their faces while navigating trails and roadways. The wide chassis and wheel base give the Gladiator a low-slung profile that belies its clearance. 17-inch rims available in steel, aluminum, and a variety of different colors come standard, and the Gladiator's full sized cab and four doors makes getting in and out easy.
Engine
Equipped with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine, with variable valve timing and engine speed sensors, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator runs on 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The result is plenty of capacity for hauling, along with great mileage for a full-sized vehicle —16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway.
Performance
Featuring four-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission, with an optional eight-speed automatic transmission, the Gladiator has the torque and control to get you through the most harrowing of driving conditions. Five-link coil solid front and rear axle suspension make the journey that much smoother. With a running ground clearance of 10 inches and a wheel base of 137.3 inches, the Gladiator can get you over the most uneven of ground, while maintaining stability and traction.
